Volunteers help to make our programs effective, for youth and for the community!
Whether it is digging and mulching, planting trees, pulling weeds or just helping out with events, volunteers are the lifeblood of our programs. It is a mutual benefit for us and the volunteers as we all get the same sense of accomplishment when we are working hands on. A bonus for our visitors is the opportunity to visit with our resident Ambassador, Jack the donkey.
Coming Soon With the generous support of the Canadian Government and the Community Services Recovery Fund, the BC Small Wetlands Association is working on a strategy to attract and recruit more volunteers, while providing structured training and skills development for individuals who want to participate and learn at the same time. Visit this page for information on how to volunteer through our new online recruitment system as we develop our programs.
